Sam Holloway doesn’t want much. He only wanted a few days at the family lake house before Dimitri got married and walked away for good. He wanted answers about what really happened between them by the water last summer - a night Dimitri swears never occurred. But when the "Purple Pansy" moonshine starts flowing, the polished masks of high society begin to crack.
Unspoken lusts ignite, broken promises resurface, and a frantic playwright catches every brutal confession on tape.
But someone... or something.... is listening in the dark.
Out in the ancient timber, the Stag-King is waking up. And he hungers for the bloody truth.

Set in 1987 in a deep Catskill hemlock grove, five college friends gather at an isolated cabin for a pre-wedding weekend. Instead of a wild summer getaway, local moonshine, buried secrets, and an unexpected act of violence spill blood onto the ancient forest floor. Inadvertently awakening a vengeful pagan deity trapped in the brush, these friends are plunged into a hallucinatory, high-sensory nightmare where the laws of nature bend, and a monstrous entity begins a brutal hunt. To survive the night, they must strip away their curated masks and face both the woods and each other.
Combining physical combat, immersive soundscapes, and vintage creature design, A Midsummer Night Scream explores love, jealousy, and the terrifying cost of human folly in the dark woods.
